If you’re a New England sports fan you are in that special Super Bowl hangover where you miss football but you just saw Tommy Fucking Brady win his 5th Super Bowl. Lucky for you theres another team thats exciting that you can watch the rest of this winter and that team is the Boston Celtics. As of today they sit in 2nd place in the east at 35-19 2.5 games back from cry baby LeBron and his Cavs. So here is why you should be watching the Celtics.

The schedule in the Celtics last three games before the Allstar break come against Dallas, Philadelphia, and Chicago all of which are under .500, there is no way that they should go anything less then 2-1 and to be honest going anything but 3-0 would be disappointing. The Celtics sitting so close to the top spot it could get very interesting down the stretch.

The role players part of what makes the Celtics so fun to watch are the role players who fit in so well with this team. Each player has roles that they fill to the best of their abilities and they are exciting players to watch. Players like Jae Crowder and Avery Bradley are having career years to this point. Al Horford this offseason big free agent get has fit in nicely into this pick and pop offense, players like Marcus Smart Gerald Green and Kelly Olynyk have shown flashes and stretches of great play. Finally the Celts have young exciting players like Terry Rozier and 3rd Overall pick Jalyen Brown who can jump out the building.

itIsiah Thomas, if youve been paying attention at all this season you know that Isiah Thomas has been doing something completely special this year. The 5 foot 9 point guard is 2nd in the NBA in scoring averaging a cool 29.8 ppg, with a good 10 of them coming in the 4th quarter which has Celtics fans and Isiah himself pointing to their watches letting everyone know what time it is. Any time Isiah steps on the floor you will find yourself wondering how this man does it. If anything him alone is a reason to watch the Celtics this season.
